Service Costs Advanced Features: Min/Max PAX and To/From Date

Advanced features:

The advanced features will allow you to add costs to services that are always applied, or you can target costs and only apply them by a min or max pax, or by a to / from date.

This should work nicely for different pricing tiers based on the total pax, or for seasonal pricing.

Using min/max pax:

A common scenario is to have different prices based on the total pax of a trip.  For this example we’ll use the cost parameters to create a service cost for total pax up to 5, and another for 6 or more.

When we add the service to our trip, which is currently set to a total pax of 1, only the correct service cost is applied:

If we update the total pax to 10, the incorrect service cost will be removed and the correct one will be added:

To/From Date:

Similar to the min/max pax, we can also use the to and from date parameters for seasonal rates.  In this example we’ll use the to/from date parameters to create one service cost for 2023, and another service cost for 2024 rates:

If we add this service to a trip occurring in the summer of 2023 the correct cost is added:

If we update the trip start date to the summer of 2024, the incorrect cost will be removed and the correct one will be added automatically:
