Effectively updating a service description is essential for keeping your travel itineraries clear and engaging. This guide will walk you through the process of editing a service profile so that you can ensure all information is accurate and up-to-date.

Step 1: Locate the Service Profile

Start by filtering or searching for the desired service in the Services section. Once you find the service, click on its system name or tap the pencil icon located at the end of the row. This action opens the service profile, where you can edit its details.

Step 2: Edit the Service Fields

Within the service profile, you will see several fields that can be updated:

  • Display Name: The name that appears on itineraries.

  • System Name: The internal identifier used for searches.

  • City: The location associated with the service.

  • Use HTML (Beta): This toggle enables HTML formatting for the service description.

Note: Use simple HTML only. Advanced formatting or content copied from external sources may affect the layout.

  • Description: The main text detailing the service.

  • Notes: Internal notes for administrative purposes.

  • Type: The category of the service (e.g., tour, transfer, flight).

  • Supplier: The provider associated with the service.

  • Class: Whether the service is classified as Private or Group.

Step 3: Associate Additional Elements

You also have the option to enhance the service profile by:

  • Adding Images: Associate images that will appear in itineraries. These visual elements help improve client engagement and service presentation.

  • Linking Service Costs: Connect service costs using our cost calculator options. If a service is added or removed, the associated costs will automatically update. For detailed information on setting up costs using passenger or trip date ranges, refer to the related guide on service costing.

Step 4: Use the System Tab for Advanced Options

Under the System tab, you will find additional options, including:

  • Archive Toggle: Use this option to hide unused services from default searches.

  • Audit Information: View details such as who created the service, when it was created, and the last modified date.

  • Trip Links: The system also displays links to any trips that are using this service, making it easier to track its usage across your itineraries.

Step 5: Review and Save Your Changes

After making all the necessary updates, carefully review the changes. Once you are satisfied, save your updates to ensure that the modifications are applied across all relevant records.
