Autofactor Costs based on the PAX total of the Trip/Lead

Modified on Mon, 5 Aug at 11:02 AM

We offer a feature that allows Travel Agents to automatically calculate cost factors based on the PAX (passenger) total of a Lead/Booking. This can help automate the process of managing and adjusting costs as client details change.

How the Autofactor Field Works

When adding a cost to a trip, you can choose to enable the Autofactor feature. This feature calculates the factor based on the PAX total of the Lead/Booking. Here's how it works:

  • Automatic Updates: The factor will automatically update and reflect the PAX total when changed. For instance, if the number of passengers increases or decreases, the Autofactor will adjust the cost according to the new PAX total.

  • Default Setting: If there is no PAX total set yet, the factor will default to 1. This ensures that there is always a base factor applied, even when the PAX total is initially zero.

When the Autofactor is toggled ON, the manual factor entry option will be disabled. The factor will be based on the PAX (Total) entered under the Lead/Booking's Main tab.

Ensure that the PAX Adults and PAX Children fields are filled out correctly, as the PAX (Total) is crucial for the Autofactor feature to work.

NOTE: All PAX fields including the total, must be manually edited and calculated. The Autofactor feature relies on the PAX(Total) for its calculations.

This feature is particularly useful for new Travel Agents as it minimizes manual calculations and adjustments, making it easier to manage trip costs accurately and efficiently. By leveraging the Autofactor feature, you can ensure that cost adjustments are always in sync with the number of travelers, leading to more accurate billing and smoother trip management.
