Welcome! Today, we'll quickly show you how to Add a Trip Cost Using the Cost Calculators in the Oasis Travel Platform.

NETT Cost Calculator 

  • Type

    • Category of expense associated with a trip and are set in the Company's profile configuration.

  • Supplier

    • Companies or individuals that provide the various services or products needed for a trip, such as hotels, airlines, car rental agencies, or tour operators. 

  • Currency

    • Refers to the type of money used to pay for the trip, such as UDS, EUR, or JPY. 

  • Conv. Rate (Conversion Rate)

    • The value at which the default currency will be converted to be exchanged for another currency type

  • NETT (Base)

    • The suppliers original, unmarked-up cost provided by the supplier before any additional fees or commissions.

  • Auto Factor?

    • Adjusts costs automatically based on the number of persons to ensure accurate trip pricing.

  • Factor

    • This is a multiplier applied to the base cost to adjust pricing based on variables such as the number of persons or nights.

  • NETT (ORG)

    • This is the original, unmarked-up cost provided by the supplier, excluding any additional fees or commissions.

  • NETT (USD)

    • This is the original cost from the supplier, expressed in US dollars, before any additional fees or commissions.

  • Margin %

    • This is the percentage added to the base cost to determine the selling price, ensuring profit over the original cost.

  • Margin

    • This is the amount added to the base cost to determine the selling price, ensuring a profit over the original cost.

  • Rack (ORG)

    • This is the standard price set by the supplier before any discounts or commissions are applied.

  • Rack $

    • This is the standard price set by the supplier in dollar terms, before any discounts or commissions are applied.

2. Commission Calculator

  • Cost Type

    • Category of expense associated with a trip and are set in the Company's profile configuration.

  • Supplier

    • Companies or individuals that provide the various services or products needed for a trip, such as hotels, airlines, car rental agencies, or tour operators. 

  • Currency

    • Refers to the type of money used to pay for the trip, such as UDS, EUR, or JPY. 

  • Conv. Rate (Conversion Rate)

    • The value at which the default currency will be converted to be exchanged for another currency type

  • Rack (ORG)

    • This is the standard price set by the supplier before any discounts or commissions are applied.

  • Calculation Calc Type

    • This dropdown lets users choose whether the commission is calculated as a percentage or a fixed amount.

  • Percent shows a box to enter your desired commission percentage


  • Amount shows the amount (ORG) and the Amount (USD) boxes, where after entering the amount, clicking the lightning bold converts the amount using the conversation rate. The example below is converting from Euros to Dollars.

3. Cost Calculator

  • Cost Type

  • Supplier

  • Base Currency

    • Refers to the type of money used to pay for the trip, such as UDS, EUR, or JPY. 

  • Conv. Rate (Conversion Rate)

    • The value at which the default currency will be converted to be exchanged for another currency type

  • Calc Type (Calculation Type)

    • This dropdown lets users choose whether the commission is calculated as a percentage or a fixed amount.

  • Percent shows a box to enter your desired commission percentage.

    • Cost Source lets you select only the Costs you want to associate the markup to.

    • Markup Type

    • Markup is the percentage increase added to the base cost to determine the final selling price.

    • Margin is the amount added to the base cost to determine the selling price, ensuring a profit over the original cost.

    


  • Amount is the dollar amount to apply to the cost




  • NETT %

    • Represents the percentage of the original cost retained by the supplier after deducting any fees or commissions.

  • Rack %

    • Indicates the percentage of the supplier's standard price used for calculating the final cost before any discounts.
