How to Clean/Format HTML

Modified on Fri, 26 Oct 2018 at 04:00 PM

When using HTML in the custom content sections of Oasis such as HTML content, company configuration - custom content, and trip - custom content, you are using a interface called WYSIWYG. This interface lets you bring in copy from outside sources, clean the copy and format HTML on the backend. This is great to use with creating aesthetic pieces to incorporate into your itinerary such as guide bios, company's about us, as well as trip specific information you wish to have more formatting options.

That being said, be careful when copy and pasting from sources such as PDF, Microsoft Word, Google Docs, etc. as it can mess up the backend formatting. To ensure the code is clean, always clean the content before altering:

Beware: This will clear all formatting so you will need to reformat once it's been cleaned

Reformatting:

Use the panel on the WYSIWYG to reformat HTML:

You can also alter the HTML in code view. If so, hit the format prompt to ensure it formats properly:

Once formatted, click the code view prompt and you will see the code structure for the HTML:

To save any edits in HTML you need to be out of Code View. To get out of code view, hit the code view prompt once more and it will show you the regular view:
